The choir is composed of 9th - 12th grade choral students from across the district and is under the direction of Ms. Dorothy Lee Jones, who is also the Greenville-Weston High School directress of varsity choirs.  The Greenville-Weston High School Choir is composed of Greenville-Weston High School Concert Choir, Golden Voices of Liberation Gospel Choir and several varsity ensembles: the GWHS Quartet, GWHS Male Ensemble, and the GWHS Sextet.

The Greenville-Weston High School Choir and Ensembles have a legacy of having an outstanding music program dating back to the choral years of the late Ms. Herticene Jones, Greenville High School choral directress, and Dr. Walter Turnbull, the founder and choral director of the Boys Choir of Harlem (a former student of Ms. Herticene Jones).    During spring semester of 2005, Larry Robinson, artistic director of the Boys' Choir of Harlem and Lutrician Johnson Hamilton, a professional opera singer, conducted a workshop/concert with the choir.  They are also former choral students of Ms. Herticene Jones.  The choral program has continued the Greenville Public School District choral music legacy and consistently received superior ratings, recognition, and awards at the local, regional, state and national levels.
